Holy Cross College was founded in 1891 by the Patrician Brothers. The great sandstone edifice which occupies the central position of today’s College gradually rose on the heights above the Parramatta River with expansive grounds and heritage buildings. Because of our renowned experience and understanding of a variety of timbers and veneers, Practical Furniture and Joinery were approached to design and manufacture the heritage furniture for the building renovations. A varied range of office and reception furniture, and kitchens were required using a combination of natural timbers and veneers to complimented the existing heritage furniture. The traditional method of French polishing was utilized on all the furniture. |
